building green

Multi-family developments in the City of Charlottesville have become our primary focus with Fifeville being the first under construction. We invite you to visit or browse our photos to see our progress on Paton Street.

Through the generous support of foundations and grant funding, we have learned to build energy efficient homes.  Independent inspections by EarthCraft help ensure lower utility bills to our fixed income homebuyers since 2007.

Thanks to the students of UVA's architecture school and the ecoMOD program, we are nearing completion of our first LEED home.  The City of Charlottesville is supporting LEED certification for the first attached homes with HFHGC also under construction.  We've attached logos to help identify which homes are working toward what green building certification.
